6 US BRAND CHARTS · BY WEIGHT

Compare diaper sizes across brands.

One weight can match several diaper sizes, and the same number does not mean exactly the same range in every brand. See every published match, then use fit signals to choose.

What does “generic diaper size” mean?

There is no universal generic diaper standard. The cross-brand result reports only size labels whose published weight ranges match across every brand currently compared. It does not imply that the brands have identical shape, absorbency or fit.

Why several sizes may match

Manufacturers deliberately overlap weight bands. If more than one size is eligible, look for a snug waist and legs without gaps or red marks. Frequent leakage, blowouts or tabs that no longer fasten comfortably can indicate that it is time to try another eligible size.

Questions parents ask

Why can one weight match more than one size?

Manufacturer weight ranges often overlap so body shape, fastening and leakage can help decide between eligible sizes.

Are size numbers consistent across brands?

No. A size label can cover different weight ranges in different brands and product lines.

Should I size up for leaks?

Leaks can have several causes. Check positioning, leg and waist gaps, tabs and the current package chart before trying another eligible size.
